 IN HIS OWN WORDS:
Love for all of the fantastic people I have had the privilege of making music with for so many years. Mark Cook, brought me out of "retirement" at age 26 with an all original band Gun Metal Blue. Right after that I was asked to join a project with a family friend, Jim Sharp who was playing in a country project called Gone Country. After Gone Country broke up I started my own band called Quarterhorse. After a chance meeting at Portland Music with Michael McCartney, we decided to ask Michael in so that we could have another lead voice. That worked out pretty good for a while, but we could not keep bass players in that band. After bass player number 3 or 4 everybody got burned out and called it quits. The first version of the Love Handles came calling and I was with them for a while, until the gravity of Quarterhorse pulled me back in. After that project ended abruptly,

I formed Willow Tree with my old friend Lola Fields. That band played all over the west side for 5 or 6 years.

Now it's on to this current version of the Love Handles, back with Mike, the incredible Alice Childs on keys along with powerful rhythm section Rich Kaiser and Paul Weatherford, we have the fun knob cranked to 11 !!

My influences in no particular order….. I would say I've stolen riffs from: Billy Gibbons, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie VH, Brad Paisley, Brent Mason, Nile Rodgers, Lindsey Buckingham, David Gilmour, and everybody from the Doobie Bros.oops, Jimmy Page! This thing is way too long so we're not going to talk about singers, ask me when we meet!  Love y'all
